Welcome to Choices Home for Children (Choices). Thank you for taking the time to explore our homes and the services we offer for young people.
Established in 1995, Choices was founded with the goal of providing the best care for young individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviour. We work in collaboration with the young people, their families, and placement authorities to create a nurturing, therapeutic, and stable environment that instils confidence and prepares them for independent living.
Our philosophy is centred around creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in our homes, where familiar faces and a caring environment help young people feel at home. Our goal is to help young people lead meaningful lives in the community beyond the age of 18.
Our Team
Our team consists of highly experienced and qualified individuals who are dedicated to the well-being of young people. We offer a comprehensive professional development and training to ensure our team members can deliver the level of support that is required within a regulate service. We conduct both internal and external training to ensure that we meet all the necessary regulatory requirements set out by our governing body (Ofsted).
Homes
Choices operates four Ofsted registered residential children's homes in and around the Stockport area. We offer residential care for short, medium, and long-term stays, and can also accommodate emergency admissions and placements while waiting for assessments.
Young People
Every young person is supported by a dedicated team members who works with them to build positive relationships. Our team aim to provide support to help each young person reach their full potential. We offer educational support and engaging activities to help them transition and work towards a fulfilled and purposeful life.

Park Lodge
Park Lodge is a 5-bedroom home located in Cheadle, Cheshire. The provision offers access to a variety of indoor and outdoor activities and is perfectly situated with good transport links to local colleges, ideal for those preparing for independence.
Douglas Road
This spacious 5-bedroom home is conveniently situated near to excellent transport links for family visits and day trips out. The home is within a stone’s throw of the Peak District national park, offering plenty of opportunity to be active and connect with nature. The local area boasts a variety of leisure facilities, shopping options, and entertainment venues.
Riverside
Riverside is a spacious detached house with plenty of outdoor space for activities and fun. The house features four bedrooms, a modern kitchen, a large lounge, and a conservatory for games. The provision is tucked away in a rural setting whilst at the same time being close to local amenities.
Hanson Mews
Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, Hanson Mews is conveniently close to local parks and a short walk to the town centre amenities such as a cinema, swimming facilities and local transport links. This cozy home features two bedrooms and an enclosed back garden, perfect for enjoying summer barbecues or outdoor games.
Stafford Walk
Stafford Walk is our semi-independent home that is located on the outskirts of Macclesfield town. Within walking distance to the local leisure centre and transport links, this provision is perfect for young people embarking on their journey towards independence. The home includes two bedrooms and outdoor space, perfect for enjoying summer barbecues or outdoor games.
