Staff Training

All staff employed by Choices Care Service undertakes a vigorous interview process. We believe in creating a supportive environment for new staff, incorporating a comprehensive induction process with regular supervisions being fortnightly for new employees and monthly after three months probation. Both Susan Mackay and Gavin Mackay are responsible for new recruit’s progress, support and training needs, which is constantly on going to bring in line any change in legislation that may take place.

Behavioural problems can be linked to a young person’s underlying difficulties; reaction to stress or events in the family/ school/ community; pressures in the peer group; or a combination of these factors. All of our staff maintains continuous training to ensure they can handle any situation that may arise.
